Where There’s a Will, There’s a Way: The Spirit Shelby County Needs Now
“Where there’s a will, there’s a way.”
This isn’t just an old saying to me. It’s a way of life. It’s what I saw in my own mother, working two jobs, making sure I had shoes for school and food on the table.
Crime
As your next County Commissioner for District 8, I’m committed to reducing crime in Memphis by tackling its root causes-investing in job creation, supporting youth mentorship, and working alongside law enforcement to build safer, stronger neighborhoods for everyone.
Education
I will fight to ensure every child in Memphis has access to a high-quality education-from expanding early childhood programs and supporting new school facilities like the state-of-the-art Frayser High, to investing in summer learning, advanced coursework, and digital resources-because our children’s future is Memphis’ future
Things to Do
As your County Commissioner for District 8, I’m focused on providing more options and resources for our community-whether it’s access to education, job training, or support services-so every family has the tools they need to succeed and thrive.
Transparency
As your next County Commissioner for District 8, I will champion greater transparency in government by making information accessible, supporting open meetings, and ensuring our community can see how decisions are made and how tax dollars are spent-because trust and accountability are the foundation of good leadership.
